My name is Mary and like almost everyone, I love sharing my passion. This is what I’m about to do in the next few lines!

When I was young, I was raised in a family of 4 children. My family was great and I never lacked anything even if our budget was limited due to many factors. I wasn’t aware of it back then but, we had to rely on food stamps. My parents made a lot of sacrifices for us and I am thankful for everything they did.

At the age of 8, due to poor nutritional choices, I became fat and this condition followed me for more than a decade. This condition affected my self-confidence to a big extent which affected many life choices I made during this period because of this state of mind. For example, I dated a guy who didn’t treat me well. This context even pushed me to have eating disorders…

Fortunately, with time, by studying and learning about nutrition and physiology and applying what I learned to myself, I became healthy and lost this fat. This took me time. In fact, it took me a few years to have a nice and athletic looking body and I made a lot of mistakes but I finally succeded!

I wish I had known what I know today and applied it faster. This would have spare me some moments where other people made fun of me or where I was sad about how I looked and how I felt.

Today, due to my story that influenced my professional career,  I’m a naturopath who uses functional medicine principles to help people to:

  • diminish their gut inflammation level
  • increase their energy level
  • improve their overall health

In my professional practice, I analyze people with tools such as bioimpedance analysis to know their:

  • fat percentage
  • total hydration level
  •  intracellular hydration level
  • extracellular hydration level
  • phase angle
  •  many other biomarkers

I also work with laboratory tests to assess: hormonal level and food intolerances of my clients with blood, saliva, and urine. Then, I prepare a plan for them so that they can attain their goals and improve their lifestyle quality!

The problem is that my services are not affordable for everyone. My expertise is worth a lot because my continuous education, the labs, the office rents, the tools and many other expenses make this service cost a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the needs of the person and a number of consultations that we need to do together. This is just impossible for the budget of a family like the one I grew up into.

In fact, my clients are now people that are wealthy to a certain extent and professional athletes who invest in themselves or their agent does… This is sad because I want to help people who can’t afford my services because I was one of them.
